Entrepreneurship Program Director at Global Biotech Revolution

Ricardo Suarez Heredia is the current Entrepreneurship Program Director at Global Biotech Revolution. Ricardo has also served as a Scientist in Process Analytical Technology at Sanofi, an Applications Engineer III at Merck Group, and a Strategy Officer at Shaping Horizons. In addition, Ricardo Suarez Heredia has worked as a Due Diligence Analyst at Start Codon and as a PhD Strategy Consultant at both the Cambridge Judge Business School and the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) at the University of Cambridge.

Ricardo Suarez Heredia’s experience in the biotech industry began when they joined Global Biotech Revolution as a Leader of Tomorrow. In this role, they were responsible for the entrepreneurial arm of Global Biotech Revolution (GBR). Ricardo later became the Director of Entrepreneurship and then the Director of BioInnovation & Entrepreneurship. As Director of BioInnovation & Entrepreneurship, Ricardo Suarez Heredia was responsible for GapSummit 2020, which is a conference that brings together young leaders in science and technology from around the world. Ricardo also led the Voices of Tomorrow BioInnovation Competition at GapSummit 2019 and served as a Global Ambassador for Leaders of Tomorrow at GapSummit 2018.

After leaving their position as Director of BioInnovation & Entrepreneurship at Global Biotech Revolution, Ricardo Suarez Heredia took on a new challenge as a Scientist in Process Analytical Technology at Sanofi. In this role, they focused on R&D activities related to Next Generation Bioprocessing platforms, such as Digital Bioprocessing and Continuos Bioprocessing. After just over a year at Sanofi, Ricardo Suarez Heredia transitioned to Merck Group, where they served as an Applications Engineer III in Bioprocess Integrated Systems R&D.

After several years working in various roles within the biotech industry, Ricardo Suarez Heredia decided to pursue a career in consulting. Ricardo began by working as a Strategy Officer at Shaping Horizons, where they provided strategic guidance to clients in the life sciences sector. Ricardo then moved on to Start Codon, where they worked as a Due Diligence Analyst focused on life sciences investments. Ricardo Suarez Heredia’s most recent consulting roles have been as a PhD Strategy Consultant at the Cambridge Judge Business School and the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) at the University of Cambridge.

Ricardo Suarez Heredia is currently enrolled in the Stanford LEAD Business Certificate program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. The program is designed for corporate innovation and strategic leadership. Suarez Heredia is expected to graduate in 2023.
