Sakinat Bello

Sakinat Bello is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental advocacy and public service. Currently serving as a Global Citizen Champion at Global Citizen since December 2021, Sakinat has also co-founded the Break-free From Plastic Awareness Initiative in Nigeria. Previous roles include Special Assistant to the Governor for the Kaduna State Government from November 2019 to June 2021 and Laboratory Technologist during the Youth Corp program from April 2018 to March 2019. Sakinat's career began as Company Secretary at Bar-jona Dominion Nigeria Ltd from June 2013 to March 2018, following a student internship at Kaduna Refinery and Petro-chemical Company in early 2012. Sakinat's educational background includes a forthcoming Short Course Certification in Sustainable Development Goals from the University of Cambridge, a Postgraduate Degree in Forensic Science from the Nigerian Defense Academy, and various diplomas in project management and health, safety, and environment from accredited institutions.
