Abhay Koushik

Abhay Koushik is currently a Doctoral Candidate at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences, having joined the institute in September 2022. In addition to this role, Abhay co-founded Srishtaara Makerspace in April 2019, an interdisciplinary rapid prototyping lab at BITS Pilani, and has been a core organizer of the Global Community Bio Summit since September 2018. Previous experience includes positions as a Graduate Research Intern at the Institut du Cerveau in Paris and at the Max Planck Institute, as well as a Graduate Student pursuing a Master's degree in Life Sciences at Université Paris Cité. Early career roles include research positions at prestigious institutions like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and IIT Delhi. Abhay holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
