Xiang Xiang has been working in the semiconductor industry since 2015, when they began as a Sr. Process Integration Engineer at Global Communication Semiconductors, Inc. Prior to this, they were a System Engineer at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) from 1997 to 2003. In this role, they were in charge of the operation, maintenance, and upgrade of read-out electronics for muon particle identifier detector subsystems. Xiang also led a group of 6 people, including senior researchers, graduate students and technicians. From 2003 to 2015, they were a Visiting Scholar at the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) in Padova, Italy.
Xiang Xiang received a BS in Optoelectronics from Harbin Institute of Technology between 1993 and 1997. Xiang then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Optical Science and Engineering from The University of New Mexico between 2005 and 2008. Finally, Xiang completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Optical Science and Engineering at The University of New Mexico between 2008 and 2014.
