Global Counsel
Florence Chalker is a Senior Associate in Health and Life Sciences at Global Counsel since November 2022. Previously, Florence served as a Senior Policy Manager in the Office for Life Sciences at the Department of Health and Social Care from May 2019 to November 2022, where leadership was provided to small policy teams for the UK Government's Life Sciences Vision, including overseeing the delivery of one of the Healthcare Missions. Earlier roles included Policy Advisor in the same office, focusing on life sciences policy projects related to innovation and sector growth, and a Policy Officer at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Florence also contributed to the London Model World Health Organization by managing finance and logistics for a global health conference and completed a Policy Internship at the Institute Of Alcohol Studies. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Oxford.
