Climate Action And Sustainable Energy at Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM)

Alexandra Papadopoulou is an established professional in climate action and sustainable energy, currently serving at the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy since October 2020. With extensive experience as a Project Manager and Senior Energy Expert at NTUA's DSS Lab since 2003, Alexandra possesses a strong background in energy policy planning across local, regional, and national levels, alongside expertise in the Covenant of Mayors procedures, including Baseline Emission Inventories and Sustainable Energy Action Plans. Additional engagements include facilitating the development of SEAPs for Maghreb and Mashreq municipalities in the CES MED project and spearheading discussions on energy efficiency within the EU GCC Clean Energy Network. Alexandra holds a PhD focused on Decision Support Systems for Energy Efficiency and an M.Sc. in Energy Production and Management from the School of Chemical Engineering at NTUA.
