Melanija Tacconi

Melanija Tacconi is a communications professional with extensive experience in climate and energy initiatives. Currently serving as the Head of Communications at the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM) since February 2018, Melanija has held various roles within the organization, including Senior Communications Manager, Communications Officer, and Communications Intern. Previously, Melanija worked as the Country Manager for The Netherlands and Marketing and Communications Director at MakingEuropeAgain from January 2017 to January 2022. Other significant roles include providing recruitment support at Vitrociset Belgium, and acting as a Research Assistant at both ECLAC and CEDEUS in Chile. Melanija holds a Master’s Degree in International Public Affairs from the School of Government LUISS Guido Carli, a Master’s Degree in European Urban Cultures from Tilburg University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Urban Studies with a Minor in Statistics from University College Roosevelt.
