John Bass

John Bass has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. John is currently serving as the President of Global Data Risk LLC, where they offer consulting services in various areas such as cyber, litigation, and financial expertise. Prior to this, they were a Member of ASIS International since 2017. From 2021 to 2022, they worked as a Managing Director at Duff & Phelps, and before that, they were a Director at the same company. John also has a significant background in government service, having worked as an Operational Executive and Field Commander at the Central Intelligence Agency from 2011 to 2017. John has a wide range of responsibilities, including leading counterterrorism efforts and managing the CIA-FBI relationship. Before joining the CIA, they served as a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State for over two decades, with overseas postings in various regions and engaging with military and foreign governments. John began their career as a Consultant at Mercer in 1989. Overall, they bring a wealth of experience in leadership, strategic expertise, and building effective teams.

John Bass has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Bradley University, which they earned between 1985 and 1989. John later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Enterprise Risk Management from The Johns Hopkins University from 2013 to 2017.
