Daniela Abril Gutierrez

Daniela Abril Gutierrez is a Handbook Associate at the Global Designing Cities Initiative, contributing to the Design & Research team under the Bloomberg Initiative for Cycling Infrastructure since April 2025. Previously, Daniela served as Research and Development Manager at BYCS from January 2022 to April 2025, focusing on promoting cycling as a transformative urban tool. Additional experience includes roles as Project Coordinator and Research Coordinator at the Urban Cycling Institute, where Daniela also delivered lectures on cycling economics. Daniela's career began as an Architectural Drafter in Hermosillo and evolved into an Urban Project Coordinator at Laboratorio de Invención para la Ciudad. Educationally, Daniela holds a Master of Science in Urban Management and Development from IHS, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad de las Américas Puebla.
