Jose Manuel Barrena

Jose Manuel Barrena has a vast work experience spanning over several companies. Jose Manuel began their career as a Scholarship Holder at Siemens in 1996. Jose Manuel then worked as a Systems Engineer at Teldat in 1996-1997, and later at Altran España as a Systems Engineer from 1998-2000. Jose Manuel joined Alcatel-Lucent in 2000 as a Test Project Leader, where they defined, executed, and validated tests in broadband, SDH, and telephony systems. Jose Manuel'swork also took him to Paris, France.

Barrena joined Dominion Global in 2003 and held various roles during their tenure. Jose Manuel started as an Account Manager from 2003-2005, then became a Business Unit Manager in Spain, Mexico, and Brazil from 2006-2014. In this role, they were responsible for new product introduction, portfolio definition, and evolution, as well as P&L management. Jose Manuel transitioned to the position of Business Solutions Manager from 2015-2022, where they focused on identifying new business opportunities and driving digital transformation in Latin America. Currently, they serve as the Business Development & Presales director for America at Dominion Global since January 2022.

Jose Manuel Barrena earned a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Telecommunication Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 1991 to 1997. Jose Manuel has also obtained various certifications in topics such as Big Data, management, and language proficiency from institutions like Coursera, ThePower Business School, and Comunidad de Madrid.
