Shannon Mize

Education Center Administrator at Global Down Syndrome Foundation

Shannon Mize currently serves as the Education Center Administrator at the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, overseeing a community meeting space dedicated to providing educational and vocational programs for individuals with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. Previous roles include teaching positions at Jeffco Public Schools and various school districts, where Shannon Mize implemented Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports and directed multiple theatrical programs. Additionally, Shannon Mize held an Executive Director role at The San Miguel Resource Center, focusing on combating domestic violence and sexual assault. With a strong background in arts education, Shannon Mize has founded and directed several drama clubs and Thespian societies throughout a teaching career that spans over a decade and includes experiences in administrative coordination and judging UIL One Act Play contests. Education was completed at Lamar University.
