India Johnson

India Johnson is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and mentorship. Currently serving as a 3rd Grade Teacher at The Leona Group since August 2018 and as a 2nd Grade Teacher at Global Educational Excellence since December 2017, India also works as a Substitute Teacher for Superior Employment Services Inc. since September 2016. Prior roles include a Student Cook at Michigan State University, a Servant Leader Intern with Children's Defense Fund- Freedom Schools, and an Urban Immersion Fellow at Detroit Public Schools, where India directed classrooms for 4th-6th graders. Additional experiences encompass positions as a Grocery Clerk at Meijer, a Teacher's Assistant at Pattengill Middle School, and a Greenhouse Coordinator at Detroit Public Schools. India Johnson holds a degree in Elementary Education with a focus on English Language and Literature from Michigan State University, completed in 2016.
