Marwan Issa has a diverse work experience with a focus on the education and technology sectors. Marwan served as the Chief Operating Officer at Global Educational Excellence, overseeing various departments and managing operations in both the United States and the Middle East. Prior to this role, Marwan was the Chief Technology Officer at the same company, where they managed IT operations and projects. Marwan also founded and led SchoolWide Solutions, a software development company that provided solutions for K-12 schools. Marwan has also worked as a lecturer at Washtenaw Community College and held roles as a Technology Coordinator at Global Educational Excellence and a Project Manager intern at Pall Corporation. Additionally, they worked as a Research Engineer for the U.S. Army TACOM LCMC.

Marwan Issa has a diverse education history. Marwan obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Michigan between 2000 and 2004. Following this, they pursued their Master of Science in Human Computer Interaction from the University of Michigan - School of Information, completing it between 2004 and 2006. Marwan continued their education at Eastern Michigan University, where they obtained their first Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Educational/Instructional Technology, although the specific start and end years are unknown.

Later, they returned to academia to further their studies at Eastern Michigan University and obtained a second PhD degree, this time in Technology in Education, which they completed between 2006 and 2011.

Most recently, Marwan pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Marwan completed this program between 2017 and 2019.
