Ted Nace

Ted Nace is the Founder and Executive Director of Global Energy Monitor, a position held since December 2007, where the organization maintains a comprehensive census of energy facilities and disseminates data to support the climate and clean energy movements. Prior to this role, Ted Nace was a self-employed freelance writer from October 1986 to January 2010, authoring notable books such as *Gangs of America* and *Climate Hope*, and contributing to various publications including Orion Magazine and Grist. Ted Nace also co-founded Peachpit Press in 1985, which focused on desktop publishing and graphics literature. Earlier career experience includes editorial roles at PC World, MacWorld, and other computer magazines, as well as serving as Staff Director and Organizer at the Dakota Resource Council from September 1980 to November 1982. Ted Nace holds a BA in Economics from Stanford University and a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley.
