The Global Engagement Summit (GES) is a five-day conference that brings together student delegates from around the world and equips them with tangible skills to develop and implement meaningful social ventures. Our annual Summit provides these young entrepreneurs with professional mentorships, capacity-building workshops, influential speakers and tangible takeaway resources, as well as the opportunity to establish long-lasting connections with like-minded students and industry experts.

In the past 15 years, more than 800 delegates from over 60 countries have participated in the Summit. Delegates congregate in Chicago to learn how to develop ideas, understand the challenges and opportunities for social engagement and hone their skills to enable them to better implement change-based projects.

GES aims to build the capacity of the next generation of global change leaders. We are a completely student-organized and student-run organization. Our staff consists of 60 Northwestern undergraduate students who work year-round to develop a dynamic conference curriculum and offer year-round opportunities for project support, including internship experiences, media exposure and funding prospects through partnerships with groups like the Buffett Institute, Indiegogo, Watson University and many others.

The Leadership Team at the Global Engagement Summit (GES) oversees the overall strategic direction and execution of the annual conference. Comprised of roles such as Chief Operating Officer and various Vice Presidents, the team is responsible for coordinating delegate outreach, developing impactful content, managing operations, and fostering external relations. Their efforts ensure that the Summit runs smoothly, providing an enriching experience for all participants.

The Content and Outreach Team at the Global Engagement Summit is responsible for curating and developing the educational content for the conference, as well as engaging and recruiting student delegates from around the world. This includes designing and implementing the conference curriculum, coordinating workshops and speaker sessions, and maintaining relationships with external partners to provide mentorship and resources to delegates. The team ensures that the Summit's programming is impactful and that it reaches a diverse group of young social entrepreneurs globally.
