Malvika M. is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in international law and sustainable investment. Currently serving as the Special Assistant to the CEO of the Global Environment Facility since March 2019, Malvika provides vital advice and support within the World Bank Group. Prior roles include Legal Affairs Officer at the World Trade Organization, where Malvika contributed to multilateral investment facilitation negotiations, and Legal Consultant at UNCTAD, focusing on international investment agreements and capacity building for developing countries. Additional experience includes a legal trainee position at Lalive, involvement in the World Bank Group's Junior Professional Associate program, and a legal internship at the United Nations. Malvika holds a Bachelor of Laws from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a Master of Laws with a specialization in International Dispute Settlement from the Geneva Graduate Institute, and completed the Beahrs Environmental Leadership Program at the University of California, Berkeley.
