Mohamed Bakarr

Mohamed Bakarr has extensive experience in environmental management, currently serving as the Manager of Integration and Knowledge Management at the Global Environment Facility since March 2009. In this role, Mohamed leads initiatives to address significant drivers of environmental degradation through comprehensive and integrated strategies. Prior experience includes positions as Lead Environmental Specialist at the Global Environment Facility, Senior Environmental Specialist at Conservation International, and Director of Strategic Initiatives at the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF). Mohamed holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (MS) in Tropical Biology from the University of Miami, obtained between 1989 and 1997.
