PeiYao Chen has a strong background in learning, evaluation, and impact within the nonprofit sector. PeiYao has worked in various roles at different organizations, including the Global Fund for Women, where they served as the Senior Vice President of Global Operations, Vice President of Impact & Effectiveness, Head of Learning, Evaluation, and Grants Operations, and Director of Learning, Evaluation, and Impact. In these positions, they led the organization's learning and evaluation efforts, designed and implemented impact frameworks, oversaw evaluation activities, and facilitated ongoing reflection and improvement.
In addition, PeiYao Chen has also worked at AmplifyChange as the Learning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Advisor, developing and implementing the organization's learning, monitoring, and evaluation strategy. PeiYao has also served as a Member of the WCW Council of Advisors at Wellesley Centers for Women, where they provided advisory support.
Furthermore, PeiYao Chen's experience includes serving as a Board Member at the Support Center for Nonprofit Management and working at TCC Group as the Associate Director of Evaluation and Evaluation Consultant. At TCC Group, they worked with foundations and nonprofit organizations on various evaluation projects and capacity building initiatives.
Earlier in their career, PeiYao Chen worked as a Research Analyst at Girls Incorporated, where they led a team in creating and implementing a national evaluation system to measure outcomes and improve program effectiveness. PeiYao designed evaluation tools, managed databases, analyzed data, and disseminated research findings. PeiYao also conducted training workshops for program staff on research and evaluation topics.
PeiYao Chen's education history shows that they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at National Taiwan University from 1991 to 1995. Later, they pursued their academic aspirations further and obtained a Ph.D. in Psychology from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, completing their doctoral studies from 1995 to 2003.
