Felipe Botero is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in human rights, peacebuilding, and public policy. Currently serving as the Head of the Andean Regional Office and Coordinator for Colombia at the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime since February 2021, Felipe Botero also teaches Humanitarian Crisis and Public Policy at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali. Previous roles include Independent Consultant for Ecorys, providing strategic support in violence prevention for the Alcaldía de Palmira, and Deputy General Secretary for Human Rights and Peace-Building for Alcaldía de Cali, where Felipe Botero managed a diverse program portfolio and budget. Additionally, Felipe Botero has held advisory positions in the Colombian Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Interior, addressing issues related to education and community rights. Felipe Botero holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Governance from Erasmus Mundus and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Universidad de Los Andes.
