Curt Sheffer

Curt Sheffer has extensive experience in the fields of worship leadership, special education, and sound/lighting technology. Currently serving as the Director of Worship at Surfside Community Church since August 2014, Curt actively leads worship while collaborating with Pastor Mark Young. In addition to this role, Curt has maintained a position with Global Media Outreach since December 2013, where responsibilities include sound and lighting for video shoots. With a long-standing career as a self-employed worship consultant and leader since 2012, Curt has a wealth of knowledge in technical installation and musician technology. The background includes over three decades of musical performance with bands such as 4 to 7 Band and The Checkmate Band, as well as over 30 years as a special education teacher for the St. Lucie County School Board. Education includes a Bachelor’s degree and an Associate’s degree in Special Education from PennWest Clarion.
