Joy Almekies

Joy Almekies has extensive experience in the food service industry, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at the National Advisory Group Convenience Channel since November 2021. Prior to this, Joy Almekies held multiple leadership roles at Global Partners LP, including Senior Director and Director of Food Services, starting in July 2015. Prior experiences include roles as Food Service Specialist/Key Accounts Manager at J Polep Distribution Services and Director of New Product Development at White Hen Pantry/New England. Joy Almekies also served as Director of Food and Beverage at Benchmark Senior Living from September 1998 to July 2002. Educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Hospitality Administration/Management from Johnson & Wales University, obtained between 2016 and 2018, and a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in the same field from the same institution, obtained from 1984 to 1988. Joy Almekies is currently pursuing further education through Wharton Executive Education and the MIT Sloan School of Management.
