Mariama Shaheed, Ed. D. has a diverse range of work experience. Currently, they are serving as an Adjunct Professor at Marian University Indianapolis since June 2021. Prior to this role, they were the Founder & CEO of Global Preparatory Academy, a position they held from January 2015. Mariama received their Doctor of Education (Ed.D) degree in Organizational Leadership from Marian University Indianapolis in the years 2020 to 2023. Prior to that, they completed a National Principal Fellowship at Relay Graduate School of Education from 2017 to 2018. In 2006 to 2008, they obtained a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Indiana University Indianapolis. Additionally, they have a degree in Spanish - oral and written communication from Chac-Mool Spanish Immersion School in 2003 to 2004. Before that, they earned a Master's Degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University from 2001 to 2003. Mariama also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Butler University from 1996 to 1998, and their early education includes a focus on Elementary Education and Teaching with a concentration in Spanish and Math from the University of Evansville from 1993 to 1995.
