Mia Moshier

Mia Moshier has a diverse work experience in various industries. In 2016, they worked as a Drafting Intern at MacIntosh Engineering, where they converted architectural groundplans to vectorized drawings using AutoCAD and accompanied the team on construction site visits. In 2018, they joined Boston University School of Theatre as a Student Carpenter, participating in builds, load-ins, and load-outs for theatrical productions. Mia also programmed and operated a CNC router. At the same institution, they became a Student Technical Director in 2020, leading teams in the fabrication and installation process of scenery for School of Theatre productions. Additionally, they worked as an Overhire Carpenter in the Greater Boston Area from 2018 to 2019. In 2019, they had a short-term role as a Production Assistant at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, providing support to various departments during live events. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Student Library Assistant at Boston University School of Theology Library, maintaining shelves, assisting patrons, and implementing pandemic safety measures. Currently, they are a Technical Designer at Global Scenic Services Inc., where they create and maintains construction, rigging, mechanical, electrical, and installation drawings for various projects. Mia collaborates with the team in selecting construction techniques and materials. Prior to their technical roles, they worked as a Hostess at Touch Of Italy Restaurant, greeting guests, managing reservations, and maintaining waitlists. Mia Moshier's work experience showcases their proficiency in technical design, carpentry, project management, customer service, and drafting.

Mia Moshier attended Boston University from 2017 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts - BFA degree in Technical Production. In addition to their degree, Mia earned the certification for OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Safety and Health from the University of South Florida OSHA Training Institute Education Center in May 2020.
