David Dietz is a highly experienced professional in the field of environmental management and fisheries economics. Currently serving as the Manager of Standards Oversight and previously as Program Integrity Specialist at the Global Seafood Alliance since August 2021, David has a strong background in marine fisheries, having worked as the Fisheries Economics Program Manager for the North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries from June 2019 to July 2021. Prior roles include Coordinator at Walking Fish Seafood Cooperative, Seafood Supply Chain Intern at the Environmental Defense Fund, and various positions at ORC International, including Manager of Client Solutions. David began a career in research as an intern at Cardno ChemRisk, and as a research intern with the NASA Student Airborne Research Program, alongside academic experience as a Student Researcher at Bowdoin College. David holds a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and a Bachelor's degree in Earth and Oceanographic Science and Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College.
