Syamsul (Sam) Arifin has extensive experience in aquaculture and seafood management, currently serving as Country Coordinator for both Global Seafood Alliance and Best Aquaculture Practices since September 2021 and April 2017, respectively. Prior roles include Aquaculture, Marine & Seafood Product Manager, Registered Lead Auditor, and Tutor/Trainer at PT. SGS Indonesia from December 2006 to December 2016, where Syamsul obtained multiple lead auditor qualifications, including ISO and FSSC certifications. Earlier career experience also includes serving as Plant Manager for PT Central Pertiwi Bahari from September 2002 to November 2006, overseeing the food processing plant in Jakarta and ensuring high-quality and quantity production of shrimp products for the US market. Syamsul holds dual bachelor's degrees in Fisheries Technology Industry from IPB University and Industrial Engineering from Mercubuana University.
