Susie Ellis is a prominent leader in the global wellness industry, serving as Co-Founder, Chair, and CEO of the Global Wellness Summit since May 2007, where efforts focus on shaping the future of the wellness economy. As Chair and CEO of the Global Wellness Institute since January 2014, Ellis has played a crucial role in advancing research and education within the sector. Previously, as President of Spafinder Wellness, Inc. from January 2002 to October 2016, and through various roles at The Golden Door from 1974 to 1986, Ellis contributed significantly to wellness initiatives. Notably, as Director of the Golden Door’s “Spa at Sea” for Cunard from 1983 to 1985, Ellis pioneered the integration of spa services on cruise ships. Educational credentials include an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
