Gregory Sukornyk has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.
In 1997, they co-founded The X-Stream Network, a UK-based free Internet service provider. As the Chairman and CEO, they led the company's rapid growth and expansion into multiple European countries.
In 2000, Sukornyk became the Chief Executive Officer of LibertySurf, a French Internet access provider. Gregory oversaw the company's operations in Northern Europe and played a key role in pursuing acquisitions in the region.
From 2003 to 2010, they founded and led Project Breakout, an online video competition network that offered career opportunities to talented individuals in music, film, broadcasting, comedy, and modeling. Winners received internships, recording contracts, and performance opportunities.
In 2008, Sukornyk founded addGloo.com, a self-serve platform for creating and deploying customizable rich media ads. As the CEO, they ensured the platform was user-friendly for advertisers, publishers, and agencies.
As a mentor at the Founder Institute from 2015 to 2020, Sukornyk provided guidance and support to aspiring entrepreneurs in over 100 cities worldwide.
Gregory also served as an advisor to ESC Games, the world's first multiplayer video game theater experience, from 2016 to 2018 and to Debut, the world's first graduate careers app, from 2016 to 2020.
In 2011, Sukornyk co-founded Good World Games, a company that publishes GameTrove, a social gaming and messaging app. The company partners with mobile carriers and travel operators to market their mobile games to captive audiences.
In 2021, they co-founded SW21, an independent seed stage impact startup studio. The studio invests in early-stage health, education, and cleantech companies that deliver social and financial returns. Sukornyk is involved in the hands-on co-building process.
Currently, they serve as the CEO and co-founder of Global Study, a company focused on simplifying the process of studying abroad.
Gregory Sukornyk has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Studies from Queen's University. Gregory also has a LLB degree in Law from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
