Markel Gruber Bergmann has extensive experience in the technology and telecommunications industry. Markel began their career in 1985 as an Account Manager at Burroughs. Markel then worked at Unisys from 1987 to 1995, initially as a Key Account Manager for IBERIA Airlines and later as the Director of the North Area. In 1995, they joined Sun Microsystems as a Senior Sales Manager, a position they held until 1999. From 1999 to 2001, Markel worked at EMC² Computer Corporation as the Sales Operation Director and Country Marketing Manager for Spain and Portugal, as well as the District Sales Manager for Industry and Government. Markel then joined Teradata as the Sales Director from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, Markel joined Global Switch as the Managing Director, responsible for real estate investments in data center development as well as data center facility management and telecommunications. Most recently, they served as the President of ASLAN, the Spanish Network, Internet, and Telecom Provider Association, from 2016 to 2020.
Markel Gruber Bergmann attended Gaztelueta from 1968-1979. From 1979-1980, they attended Retamar school, and from 1980-1984, they studied at CEIMARK, where they obtained a Técnico Especialista en Informática de Gestión degree.
