Global Travel Co is an independently owned and operated travel agency with stores in Toowoomba and Balmain, proudly helping travellers plan meaningful, well-considered holidays across Australia and around the world.

Our Toowoomba store has a long and proud history. Originally opened as Darling Downs Travel Agency in 1949, the agency has operated from the Toowoomba CBD for more than 75 years, making it one of Queensland's oldest continuously running travel agencies.

Our Sydney store, Global Travel Co - Balmain Village, is located along Darling Street, Balmain. The agency continues a strong local travel legacy, including Heidi’s 35 years of service to the Balmain community, while bringing the support and supplier connections of the wider Global Travel Co business.

Across both locations, our team brings extensive first-hand travel experience and industry knowledge to help clients plan flights, accommodation, cruising, touring, rail journeys, insurance, and tailor-made holidays. We believe the best journeys are carefully built, not simply booked. Whether it is a complex overseas itinerary, a group tour, a cruise, or a holiday within Australia, we work with our clients to create travel experiences that are practical, personal, and memorable.

This commitment to delivering exceptional client service saw the agency named a finalist for Most Outstanding Single Location Leisure Travel Agency at the 2023 National Travel Industry Awards, with further nominations in 2024 and 2025. In 2026, Global Travel Co was again recognised with an NTIA nomination, with Ben also nominated for Best Agency Manager in 2024 and 2025.

Global Travel Co is a proud member of Travellers Choice, Australia’s leading network of independent travel agents, and is also a member of ATIA and CLIA.
