Global Visionaries
Jasmine Fernandez is an experienced community advocate and program coordinator with a strong background in social justice and labor studies. Currently serving as a Diversion Community Accountability Board Member for King County, WA, and a Community Advocate for Commercial Sexual Exploitation at YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish, Jasmine has previously held roles such as Program Coordinator at Global Visionaries, where responsibilities included developing social justice curriculum and adapting material for remote learning. Additional experience includes a paralegal internship at Barnard Iglitzin & Lavitt LLP and positions representing student interests with the Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies, Fair Labor Association, and at the University of Washington’s DEI Committee and Trademarking and Licensing Advisory Committee. Jasmine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law, Societies, & Justice from the University of Washington, complemented by minors in Labor Studies and Human Rights.

Global Visionaries
Global Visionaries is a Seattle-based 501c3 non-profit organization who invites youth from diverse socio-economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds to be active leaders in their local and global communities. We foster leadership skills grounded in environmental and social justice. GV serves over 200 students from the US and 100 students from Guatemala annually. Through youth-led retreats, workshops, service projects, and a two-week immersion in Guatemala, our participants report a new capacity to be agents of change.
