Ben Backwell

Ben Backwell is currently the CEO of Global Wind Energy Council and Vice Chair of Global Renewables Alliance. Ben is also a Member of the Steering Committee at International Renewable Energy Agency, an Advisory Board Member at The Climate Group, a Board Member at Sussex Energy Group, and a Board of Advisors Member at Modvion. In the past, Ben has served as a Non-Executive Director at SuperNode Ltd, and as the Managing Director at FTI Consulting. Their previous roles also include being the Coordinator for the Solution Wind Campaign at WindEurope. Ben holds a MSc in Political Science from the School of Advanced Study, University of London.
