Martin Watters is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in strategic communications, public relations, and journalism. Currently serving as the Head of Strategic Communications at Global Witness since November 2024, Martin previously held the position of Global Communications Manager at ClientEarth, where management of communications strategies focused on climate change and environmental accountability was key. Prior roles include Public Relations Director at Life Size Media, Communications Consultant for the International Trade Union Confederation, and Communications Officer at Essential Media Communications. Martin began a journalism career at the Geelong Advertiser, where a strong news sense and ability to produce compelling copy were developed. Martin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a focus on Journalism from RMIT University.
