Rachel Owens

Rachel Owens is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in sustainable finance and climate action. Serving as Chief Executive Officer at the Solar Stewardship Initiative since April 2025, Rachel also holds important non-executive roles on the boards of Global Witness and Eurosif, the latter being a leading association for Sustainable Finance in Europe. Previously, Rachel led the Climate Finance and Corporate Action team at the European Climate Foundation and was actively involved in various initiatives aimed at promoting climate justice and corporate accountability. With a strong background in law and public policy, complemented by certifications in yoga instruction, Rachel's career spans strategic leadership positions across multiple organizations focused on environmental protection and social governance. Education includes a postgraduate diploma in EU Law from King's College London and an advanced master's in European Public Policy from KU Leuven.
