Gareth Davies

Gareth Davies is an experienced professional with a diverse background in governance, consulting, and business management. Currently serving as the volunteer Chair for Global Youth Forum since January 2022, Davies ensures the organization meets its commitments in the nonprofit sector. As a co-founder of Magivo and iVAT Limited, Davies contributes to innovative solutions and strategic direction. Previous experience includes consulting in the government sector with GMD (South West) Consulting Limited, focusing on Defence and Homeland Security, as well as roles as Principal Engagement Manager at Harmonic Limited and Business Consultant at HP, where Davies played a key role in various project initiatives. Early career experience includes significant contributions at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Digital Equipment Corporation. Education was completed at Haygrove School in Bridgwater.

MISSION STATEMENT Through life-skills coaching, mentoring, and sports programs, Global Youth Forum (GYF) equips young people from a cross the globe (Kenya) with the necessary skills to secure a job or create a business enabling them earn income and improving their quality of life. VISION To be a leading Youth NGO  in Africa, supporting young people in co creating a better future for them. OUR PROGRAMMES ORDINARY VOICES: GYF provides a safe and inclusive platform for everyday Kenyans and partners from across the globe to discuss issues affecting their communities, propose local solutions, and mobilize like-minded individuals to implement these solutions. MOULDING4WORK: Students from higher learning institutions join our one-year scholarship program comprised of eight units. Each unit has three phases: pre-training challenge, student-centred training, and post- training challenge. Students complete the pre-training challenge and training sessions in the first eight months of the program and participate in industry opportunities of their choice for the remaining four months either through internships, apprenticeships, volunteering, or industry attachments opportunities. These opportunities could include volunteering positions with GYF. SPORTS4SDGS: GYF provides an inclusive global sporting platform to enable collaborations between likeminded higher learning institutions, organisations, companies, communities and individuals; using the 17 sports to develop and advocate for a project to address each of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Using each of the sports as a tool to mobilize resources to implement the project. ARCHERY4THEGOALS: Utilising archery as an individual sport, Archery4TheGoals utilizes all year-round Archery activities and sessions to provide practical Goal Setting skills to the young people. FOOTBALL4PEACE: Football4Peace involves an annual tournament comprising of 17 teams both gender from across Kenyan communities. #WeAreGYF
