Jan Hoentschel

Jan Hoentschel is a seasoned professional in the semiconductor industry with extensive experience at GLOBALFOUNDRIES since 2007, where roles have included Director of Technology Development for CMOS Devices, leading the development of advanced CMOS technologies at various nodes, and serving as a master inventor and technical consultant. Additionally, Jan has held academic positions as a Honorarprofessor and college lecturer at Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden, specializing in micro- and nanoelectronics. Prior to this, Jan contributed as a Senior Product Engineer and Senior Device Engineer at AMD, focusing on microprocessor characterization and advanced VLSI device development. Jan holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, an MBA in Management and Administration, and several degrees in Electrical Engineering, underpinned by early vocational training as an electrician with Deutsche Bahn AG.
