Kate Liao

Kate Liao currently serves as the Deputy Director of Global Public Policy at GlobalFoundries since June 2025. Prior to this role, Liao held the position of Managing Director of International Affairs and Managing Director of Public Affairs Taiwan at Micron Technology from July 2018 to April 2023. Liao's experience also includes a role in Public and Government Affairs at Bayer from September 2017 to July 2018 and serving as Senior Economic Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Affairs from July 2010 to January 2016. Additionally, Liao was involved with the International Cotton Advisory, holding positions as Chair and Vice Chair of the Standing Committee from November 2013 to December 2015. Liao holds a Master's degree in International Relations and Political Science and a Bachelor's degree in Economics, both from National Taiwan University.
