Michael Wong

Michael Wong has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the semiconductor industry. Michael is currently serving as the Vice President of Asia Partnerships and Business Development at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, leading a team responsible for expanding partnerships and engagements in Asia (excluding China). Prior to that, they worked at Cypress Semiconductor Corporation as the Managing Director for Greater China and Vice President of Asia-Pacific Sales. In this role, they managed a large team and was responsible for over $1.2 billion in sales revenue annually across several regions. Before joining Cypress Semiconductor, Michael worked at Qualcomm as the Head of Chipset Sales in Taiwan and later as a Sales Director in San Diego. Michael also has experience at Sipex Corporation as a Regional Sales Director and Director of Asia Sales and Operations. Michael started their career at Cypress Semiconductor as the Asia Pacific Distribution Sales Manager and later as a Product Marketing Manager. Their work responsibilities have included managing teams, driving sales revenue, building partnerships, and cultivating relationships with key clients.

Michael Wong attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1994 to 1998, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
