Natnael Woldai

Natnael Woldai is a Senior Engineer in Field Application Engineering at GlobalFoundries since June 2022, specializing in chip and IC semiconductor manufacturing technical support throughout the design to tapeout process, with a focus on silicon photonic PDK design enablement. Previous experience includes a role as a Graduate Assistant at Colorado State University from September 2019 to May 2022, where significant projects involved beam steering optimization in silicon photonics, designing a MEMS pressure sensor, and developing a network-on-chip topology. Additionally, Natnael served as a Hardware Design Engineer at Eritrea Electric Corporation from September 2016 to November 2018, where contributions included designing a DC-DC buck-boost converter and analyzing power-conversion circuits. Natnael holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Colorado State University and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Eritrea Institute of Technology.
