Twesigye Jackson Kaguri is a board member at GlobalGiving and a co-founder of the Equal Community Foundation. Twesigye has dedicated their career to gender equality and the prevention of gender-based violence.
Jackson Kaguri began their career as a resource mobilisation officer for Deep Griha Society in 2008. Twesigye was responsible for raising funds and maintaining donor relations, as well as handling all external communications for the organisation. In 2010, they co-founded the Equal Community Foundation with the goal of raising gender equitable boys as part of the solution towards prevention of gender-based violence and discrimination.
As co-founder and executive director of the Equal Community Foundation, Jackson Kaguri has helped the organisation reach more than 9500 boys, supporting 12 partner organisations to adopt the approach and making the resources and training available to more than 130 organisations across India. Twesigye has played an active role across the verticals of programmes, communications, fundraising and operations. In May 2018, they joined GlobalGiving as a board member.
Twesigye Jackson Kaguri has a post graduate diploma in journalism from Savitribai Phule Pune University and a bachelor's degree in English from the same school.
