Paul Bulcock has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and domains. Their most recent position was as an Aquaculture Information Manager at Globalization Partners, where they managed and maintained aquaculture information in the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership's systems. Prior to that, they worked independently as an Aquaculture and Development Analyst, conducting research on climate change adaptation, sustainable aquaculture management, and related food security issues.

Paul also worked at Mahidol University as an International Relations Expert, providing support services for international academic and collaborative-research activities, and as an editor of academic documents. Before that, they worked as an EFL Teacher at Panaya and St. Stephen's schools, teaching and supporting English language and children's literacy curriculum. Paul also supervised extracurricular activities and organized training workshops.

Earlier in their career, Paul worked as a Research Associate/Aquaculture Analyst at The Network of Aquaculture Centres in Asia-Pacific, where they supported livelihoods based research activities and facilitated collaborations with NGOs and community groups. Paul also worked as a Research Assistant under the DFID AFGRP Programme at Stirling Aquaculture, coordinating communications strategies and researching for international organizations and events related to aquaculture.

In addition, they worked as a Research Assistant on the DFID-AFGRP Project R7100 at The Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling. Here, they conducted research, planned and conducted field-based research in Bangladesh and Vietnam, organized workshops, and produced guidelines for the improved management of small-scale cage culture in Southeast Asia.

Paul Bulcock attended The University of Aberdeen from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Marine and Fisheries Zoology. Paul later pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Aquaculture at the University of Stirling from 1998 to 1999.
