Jim Walsh

Jim Walsh is the current Chief Technical Officer for Business at GlobalLogic. Jim has over fifteen years of experience in the software development industry, and they have held various leadership positions during their career.

Walsh began their career at Chordiant Software in January 2004, where they eventually became Vice President of Offshore Operations and Vice President of World-wide Quality & Test Engineering. During their time at Chordiant, Walsh successfully re-implemented the company's test and related organizations, moving from a distributed on-shore organization to a more efficient off-shore focused organization. Jim also managed operations for Chordiant's Bangalore, India development center, growing the team from 80 heads to 150 while lowering annualized attrition rates.

In addition to their work at Chordiant, Walsh has also been a champion for the adoption of Agile processes throughout the engineering organization world-wide. This initiative has been successful in 5 of 6 product lines with the remaining product line in the early phases of adoption. Walsh has also led an initiative to establish a "second source" offshore vendor in the Central / Eastern Europe geography.

Jim Walsh is a highly experienced software development executive who has demonstrated success in both onshore and offshore operations. Jim is a strong advocate for Agile processes and has shown a commitment to quality and productivity in all of their endeavors.

Jim Walsh attended Harvard University for their A.B. in Physics and Math. Jim then attended Duke University for their M.A. in Physics and Math. Lastly, they attended Duke University for their Ph.D. in Physics.

They are on a team with Sameer Tikoo - VP, Global Head of Communication Service Provider Business, Kaushik Sarkar - Group VP, Head of Markets - EMEA, and Vishal Anand - VP, Head of North America. Jim Walsh reports to Shashank Samant, CEO.
