Tony M. Astorga

Mr. Astorga retired in 2011 from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona where he served as the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer since 1988 and as the Chief Business Development Officer since 2010. He also held the position of President of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mexico from 1994-1999.

Mr. Astorga received a B.S. Degree in accounting with high honors from Arizona State University and has attended executive education programs at Fuqua School of Business – Duke University, Kellogg Graduate School of Management – Northwestern University, and Graduate Center for Health Professions University of California San Francisco.

He is currently a member of the board of directors for the Arizona Community Foundation, Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, ASU Foundation, Catholic Charities, CSA General Insurance Agency, Financial Executives International, Phoenix Art Museum, and US Bank Arizona. In addition, he currently serves as chairman of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation and has previously served in community leadership roles as co-chair of the Governor's Citizens Finance Review Commission, Maricopa Community Colleges ACE Campaign Cabinet, and Governors Film and Television Commission.
