Emyr Illtyd Bonsels has a diverse work experience in the broadcast and media industry. Emyr Illtyd started their career in 2009 as an Equipment Assistant and Roadie for 'Arctic Monkeys'. In 2012, they worked as an Online General Assistant for Sainsbury's. In 2013, they had a brief role as an Equipment Assistant and Runner for BBC Children in Need/Southampton Solent University.

In 2014, Emyr joined At The Races as a Network Operations Engineer Assistant, where they monitored and maintained live streams, conducted fault finding, and provided customer support. In 2015, they transitioned to Arqiva, taking on the role of a Broadcast Network Operator. In this position, they provided first-line support, led fault-finding investigations, and delivered incident reports. Emyr Illtyd also worked as a Broadcast Systems Engineer at Arqiva, liaising with customers, engineering teams, and management to ensure a seamless service, completing engineering project work, and assisting in training and skills development of colleagues.

Since 2019, Emyr has been employed as a Broadcast Systems Engineer at Globecast, where they continue to contribute their expertise.

Emyr Illtyd Bonsels attended Bromley College of Further and Higher Education from 2007 to 2009, where they pursued a degree in BTEC National Diploma Electronic Engineering. Emyr Illtyd'sfield of study during this time was focused on Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Following this, Emyr went on to study at Solent University from 2010 to 2014. Emyr Illtyd obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Audio Technology with a specialization in Broadcast Systems Engineering/Transmission Networking Technologies.
