Mark Hendriksen

Senior Broadcast Cloud Engineer at Globecast

Mark Hendriksen has a diverse work experience in the media and technology industry. Mark worked at Globecast from 2015 until the present, where they were involved in designing and developing on-premise and cloud workflow solutions for broadcast, OTT, IPTV, Playout, and automated QC. Mark also provided technical support to sales, gathered requirements, and designed end products.

Prior to that, Mark worked at Financial Times from 2014 to 2015 as a Video Workflow Engineer. Mark supported the video editorial department by identifying and implementing media platform solutions. Mark was instrumental in designing scalable workflows and integrating Adobe CC and Nativ Mio Everywhere in an OSX and AWS Linux environment.

From 2013 to 2014, Mark was a Business Development Manager at Garland. Mark focused on providing technical solutions for outside broadcasting, live transcoding, OTT, IPTV, and digital signage. Mark'srole also involved working with leading technical providers in various sectors.

Before that, Mark worked at CTN Communications from 2007 to 2013 as a Digital Media Specialist. Mark was responsible for strategy, consulting, and identifying best practices across various elements of streaming media, web technology, video transmission, and post-production.

Mark also gained experience at Technicolor from 2006 to 2007 as a Digital Media Supervisor, at Globecast from 2001 to 2006 as an Encoding and Satellite Engineer, at CTV Outside Broadcast from 1999 to 2000 as an Audio Engineer, and at EuroNews from 1996 to 1998 as an Audio and Transmission Engineer. In these roles, they worked on a range of responsibilities including media distribution, encoding, audio engineering, and transmission operation.

Mark Hendriksen completed their first HND degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering at the University of Plymouth from 1989 to 1991. Mark then pursued further education at the same university, earning another HND degree, this time in Film and TV, from 1992 to 1994.
