Francia Wang

Francia Wang is currently a Research Assistant at the Boerwinkle Resting State fMRI Neuroscience Lab and serves on the Campaigns Committee for GlobeMed, a student organization collaborating with the Guatemalan nonprofit ASSADE to plan and execute fundraising events. Previously, Francia held roles as a Help Desk Technician and Marketing Intern at Launch Labs and was involved in the Science Communications Committee for iGEM from September 2022 to September 2023. Francia gained practical experience as a Biological Engineering Intern at North Carolina State University, focusing on ammonia emission effects as part of an NSF-funded project, and participated in a USDA-funded summer research project analyzing poultry heat stress behaviors. Francia is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, anticipated to graduate in 2026, following a high school diploma from Green Hope High School obtained in 2022.
