Shailesh Kumar has extensive experience in the fields of healthcare, impact investment, and program management. Shailesh is currently serving as the Senior Vice President at Glocal Healthcare, where they are responsible for developing technology and process-based solutions to improve access to quality healthcare in India. Prior to this, they worked as a Team Leader and Fund Coordinator at EY (World Bank funded Challenge Fund), overseeing the management of funds and leading a team. Shailesh also held the position of Partner at Ajooni Impact Investment, where they established an impact fund focusing on growth stage investments in health and built an investment team. Shailesh has also worked at IPE Global Limited as the Deputy Director for USAID's PAHAL Program, and as the Lead for Impact Investment at the Department for International Development (DFID) India, where they set up and managed an impact fund. Shailesh began their career at BASIX as the Head of Investments and Business Planning and has also worked at Unitus, Intellecap, and the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty in various program management roles.

Shailesh Kumar attended Cornell University from 2007 to 2009, obtaining a Master's in Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on Finance. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2003, they attended the Indian Institute of Forest Management and earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Management (PGDFM), equivalent to an MBA.
