Lanny McNie

Lanny McNie has worked as an Engineering Manager at GlossGenius starting from November 2021. Prior to that, they held the same position at N-able, starting in February 2021 and ending in November 2021. In this role, they were responsible for managing the engineering and development team for a critical product. Lanny led a team of engineers and QA/Automation staff, prioritized new features, and reduced technical debt. Lanny also led process innovation around hiring, performance management, and growth.

Before their time at N-able, Lanny worked at gskinner from October 2014 to March 2020. Lanny served as the Head of Operations / CTO and Software Development Director. As Head of Operations / CTO, they coordinated with clients and industry partners, ensured projects align with company strategy, and focused on usability and quality. As Software Development Director, they managed the development team and maintained open-source projects. Prior to these roles, they were a Senior/Lead Developer at gskinner from June 2004 to June 2009.

Lanny's earlier experiences include working as a Senior Developer at Redman Technologies Inc from April 2003 to May 2004, and as a Developer at CDMG/Sandcastle from March 2002 to April 2003.

Lanny McNie attended Athabasca University Faculty of Business from 2019 to 2020, where they obtained a Graduate Diploma in Management. Lanny continued their education at the same institution from 2020 to 2021, earning a Masters in Business Administration with a focus in Business Administration and Management, General.
