Peter Carr

Governor at Gloucestershire College

Peter Carr is the Governor at Gloucestershire College and has a long history of working in digital inclusion. Peter started their career at UK online centres (OCF), where they worked with a range of organisations developing and extending their online services to customers. In particular, they worked with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to prepare for the introduction of Universal Credit, increase uptake of DWP digital services, and ensure that digital inclusion and financial inclusion are managed effectively together.

After leaving OCF, Carr went on to work as the Commercial Manager at GFirst LEP - Gloucestershire's Local Enterprise Partnership - for six months. In this role, they helped organisations in Gloucestershire to develop and grow their businesses.

Carr is passionate about digital inclusion and has spent their career working to help those who are offline or lack confidence in using digital services to get online and improve their skills. Peter is currently using their skills and experience to help students at Gloucestershire College to succeed in their studies and careers.

Peter Carr has a BSc (Hons) in Recreation Management and Sports Science from Loughborough University.
