Philip Williams

Philip Williams possesses extensive experience in traffic and transport management, currently serving as Assistant Director of Traffic & Transport at Gloucestershire County Council since January 2007. With a leadership role within the Environment Economy & Infrastructure Directorate, Philip oversees policy development and the delivery of place-based infrastructure and climate change measures, managing an annual budget exceeding £25 million and supervising 155 employees. Prior to this, Philip held various positions at Cheltenham Borough Council, including Assistant Director of Integrated Transport and Transport Strategy Manager, focusing on integrated transport schemes and strategic planning. Early career experience includes serving as a Graduate Highways & Transport Engineer at Telford & Wrekin Council and an undergraduate engineering placement at Acer Consultants. Philip holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
