Kailash Pawar

Kailash Pawar currently holds the position of Scientist at Galapagos since July 2020. Previous experience includes serving as a Visiting Scientist at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson and as a Postdoctoral Scientist at VIB, both from October 2016 to October 2019. Prior to this, Kailash was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Drug Discovery and Development Centre (H3D) at the University of Cape Town from August 2015 to August 2016, specializing in medicinal chemistry under Prof. Kelly Chibale. Earlier roles include Senior Research Fellow and Junior Research Fellow at the National Chemical Laboratory from August 2009 to July 2015, focusing on the synthesis of bio-active natural products. Kailash holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the National Chemical Laboratory (2009-2015), a Master's Degree in Organic Chemistry from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (2007-2008), and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, and Zoology from the same university (2004-2006). Educational background includes attendance at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) from 1996 to 2003, completing SSC and HSC under CBSE, Delhi.
